Prof. Saeko Urushibara

University of Kitakyushu

Saeko Urushibara is a professor at the Center for Fundamental Education, University of Kitakyushu. She also serves as a vice president for research and international exchange.

She got a BA and an MA in linguistics from Sophia University, then was granted a Ph. D. from Brandeis University in U.S. with Rotary Scholarship and four-year tuition waiver and TA/RA ship from Brandeis University. Her expertise is morphology and syntax. Active in education, research and administration, she has served as a judge for Sophia University John J. Nissel Cup for many years. This is her second consecutive year as a judge for Kaname Cup.
