Indoors

Living Room

The reception room on the left side of the corridor was built to receive guests and features Western-style decorations such as a fireplace, parquet flooring, and sliding glass windows designed with snow crystals, as would be expected of a reception room in the main building. The ceiling is made of woven bamboo and the doors are designed to look like cedar doors, showing the cutting-edge Japanese-Western fusion expression of the time.

The fireplace is not real. It is actually a gas fireplace, as indicated by the absence of a chimney, and the central heating system used in those days was located under the window.

Recommendation: Take a moment to quietly relax in this room and enjoy the atmosphere. Take a photo by the fireplace or next to the windows.
